I’m a creative editor with a strong appreciation of the consumer, commercial and branding aims of a magazine or website.
I can take a publication from concept to finished product with the minimum of fuss and maximum of style, and I deliver on time and within budget.

My areas of expertise include travel, tourism, design and culture.

With more than 15 years’ experience in traditional and digital media, the last eight at senior level,
I have quantifiable experience of adding value to a brand. As Editor of Royal Wings I completed a major redesign of the magazine, aligning it with Royal Jordanian Airline’s comprehensive rebranding. When Editor of Where London I grew its readership and added a Chinese publication, I managed content on its website, started its social media presence and helped develop and maintain an iPhone app.

When working with Rhubarbfool content agency, we pitched for and won the contract to create the Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Museum’s prestigious guidebook. I was also responsible for copywriting Selfridges’ and Westfield’s tourist collateral. Latterly I chose and wrote most of the content on the architecture, art and design website www.arkitexture.com, plus developed social media campaigns and events to raise its profile, including a collaboration with Aston Martin and the Design Museum.

As a writer I can create sharp, sparkling and informative copy on anything from heritage brands to top tips for entertaining toddlers. I am an accomplished interviewer with numerous design superstars and a mattering of celebrities under my belt. I also reviewed more than 300 restaurants and some 200 tourist attractions in my years at Morris Visitor Publications. I am a fast and accurate sub editor and proofer with a good line in snappy heads.
